If it’s not on my calendar, it’s probably not happening.
Why?
Because apparently, I’m supposed to remember everything.
The meeting. The phone call. The deadline. The idea I had in the shower. The thing my wife told me three days ago. The thing I told myself I’d do “later.”
Yeah… good luck with that.
As an entrepreneur, your brain never really shuts off. There’s always another problem to solve, another idea to chase, or another fire that suddenly needs your attention.
But you can’t build a business by trying to keep your entire life inside your head.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, we’re talking about something simple that can make a huge difference: prayer, priorities, and putting your commitments on paper—or, in my case, on the calendar.
And there’s another piece of this that matters: stop treating business like a life-or-death battle.
Business is a game.
Play it seriously. Prepare. Make good decisions. Keep score. Learn from your mistakes.
But don’t let it consume you.
Your calendar should tell your brain what matters so your brain can stop trying to remember everything.
If it’s not on the calendar, don’t be surprised when it doesn’t happen.
Now go schedule something.

Let’s talk about company drama.
You know what I mean.
The gossip. The backstabbing. The butt-kissing. The office politics. The person who somehow knows everything happening in the building except how to do their actual job.
Here’s the uncomfortable part:
A lot of that mess starts at the top.
Your people are watching you. They watch how you handle pressure. They watch how you treat people. They watch whether you take ownership or throw somebody under the bus when things go sideways.
Then they copy you.
Leadership is a mirror. And sometimes that mirror is a little harder to look at than we’d like.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, we’re getting real about leadership, company culture, and why you can’t demand a healthy team while modeling unhealthy leadership.
Want less drama?
Start with yourself.
Because if you’re the leader, congratulations—you’re also the example.
Let’s get forged.

Walk into someone's office and look around.
Sometimes, you can see the chaos before they ever say a word.
Stacks of paper. Clutter everywhere. Things that need attention sitting right in front of them. A workspace that feels like a physical version of everything happening inside their head.
Your environment matters.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, Dan talks about the connection between your physical space, your mindset, and your ability to lead effectively.
Getting organized isn't about having a picture-perfect desk.
It's about creating an environment that helps you think clearly, focus on what matters, and actually move forward.
Sometimes you don't need another productivity hack.
You need to clean off your desk.
Take control of your space. Clear the clutter. Create some order.
You might be surprised how much easier it becomes to lead when you're not constantly surrounded by unfinished business.

Sometimes the pressure isn't coming from the job.
It's coming from the picture you've created in your own head of everything that has to happen.
You're staring at the finish line, thinking about everything that could go wrong, how much still needs to get done, and how far away you are—and suddenly the next step feels impossible.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, Dan breaks down why so much of the pressure we carry is self-induced and what happens when we stop trying to solve the entire journey at once.
You don't need to figure out the next ten steps.
You need to take the next one.
Stop living at the finish line. Focus on what's directly in front of you, take action, and let the next step reveal itself.
Because sometimes the fastest way to relieve the pressure isn't to do more.
It's to stop carrying tomorrow's problems today.

Leadership isn't about making sure everyone knows your name.
It's about making sure the people around you know they matter.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, Dan talks about one of the simplest—and hardest—leadership lessons: stop making everything about you.
True leaders listen to understand, not just to wait for their turn to talk. They ask questions. They pay attention. They give credit. And they make room for other people to step up and shine.
Take a look at your next conversation.
How often do you say “I” or “me”?
How often are you talking instead of listening?
And how often are you using your position to make yourself look good instead of making the people you're leading better?
Leadership isn't about chasing the spotlight.
It's about knowing when to hand it to someone else.

What would change if you stopped doing your work just well enough to get by?
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart and all your soul.”
That's more than good advice. It's a standard.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, Dan talks about the difference between simply getting the job done and taking pride in doing it right.
Excellence isn't about perfection. It's about effort. It's about ownership. It's about refusing to give half of yourself to the work you've been entrusted with.
Whether you're leading a company, managing a team, building a business, or simply trying to become better at what you do, the standard doesn't change:
Don't settle for good enough when you have the opportunity to make it great.
Show up. Give it everything you've got. Do the work right.
And make the work you put your hands to something you're proud to put your name on.

We all have a version of that sentence.
“That might work for them, but it won’t work for me.”
Sometimes it sounds practical. Sometimes it sounds like experience talking. But sometimes it’s just fear wearing a smarter outfit.
In this episode of FORGED with Dan Greer, Dan gets into the excuses, assumptions, and limiting beliefs that keep people stuck—and why the biggest obstacle isn't always the situation you're facing.
It’s the story you’ve already decided to believe about it.
Leadership, business, relationships, and personal growth all require the same thing: you have to be willing to challenge your own excuses.
Because if you've already convinced yourself it won't work, you've made the decision before you've even tried.
Listen to the full episode and ask yourself:
Is it really impossible—or have I just decided it won't work for me?

The goal isn’t to lay every brick yourself.
The goal is to build people who know how to lay bricks without you.
In this episode of Forged with Dan Greer, Dan talks about what it means to develop and empower your team instead of becoming the person everyone has to call when something goes wrong.
If the work stops every time you leave, you haven’t built a strong team—you’ve built dependency.
Great leaders don’t just build walls.
They build bricklayers.
Give people responsibility. Teach them how to think. Let them take ownership. And create a team that keeps moving forward even when you’re not there to put out every fire.

Fear might get compliance, but it won’t build loyalty.
When people are constantly worried about making a mistake, getting blamed, or disappointing their leader, they don’t bring their best—they protect themselves.
And eventually, good people start looking for the nearest exit.
In this episode of Forged with Dan Greer, Dan talks about why strong leaders create an environment where people feel trusted, challenged, and empowered to take ownership.
You don’t get the best out of people by controlling every move.
Give people a reason to care. Give them room to lead. Then watch them rise.

Addition says, “I need help.”
Multiplication says, “I see potential. Let’s build someone.”
Too many leaders focus on adding more people to the team when the real opportunity is developing the people they already have.
In this episode of Forged with Dan Greer, Dan talks about the difference between simply growing your team and actually multiplying leaders who can carry responsibility, develop others, and expand your impact.
Because the goal isn’t to build a team that needs you for everything.
The goal is to build leaders who can lead beyond you.
That’s how you create growth. That’s how you build a legacy.
